Dear Parishioners,
Missio is the Pope’s own charity for Mission and has been working with the Mill Hill Missionaries since the 1930s to raise money to ensure that every needy Diocese in the world has the resources to build and repair its churches, train priests, religious and catechists and serve the local community. Missionaries work tirelessly to bring Christ to everyone who looks for Him.
Most of the funds we gather in England and Wales are collected either through regular giving (I can supply a membership form and gift aid declaration) or through cash contributions made through the Red Box.
Our Holy Father Pope Francis says in Evangelii Gaudium that we are all Missionaries and encourages us to support our brothers and sisters who are less well off than ourselves.
Please consider joining the scheme if you do not yet participate. Equally you can contribute by direct debit. Funds collected via the Red Box are shared between Missio and the Mill Hill Missionaries who use the funds to support the work of their order throughout the world, and to train priests.
